Victor Osimhen has torn into Napoli team-mate’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ’s agent with a furious x-rated rant after claims he is moving to Saudi Arabia.

The Nigerian striker is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after a sensational few seasons in Serie A. Osimhen has been linked with a move to Chelsea, while Saudi clubs have been attempting to sign him.

Kvaratskhelia’s representative Mamuka Jugeli recently claimed that the Napoli star already has a move to the Gulf state in mind. He said: “Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli? I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli have raised his salary.”

Those claims have not gone down particularly well with Osimhen. The 25-year-old took to his Instagram to respond with an enraged rant.

He wrote: “Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace. I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf***! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!”

It is not the first time that Osimhen has spoken out on a potential move to Saudi Arabia over recent months. He recently confirmed that discussions had been held regarding a big-money switch and revealed the reasons why he decided to stay with Napoli.

"Of course," he said on the Obi One Podcast. "What was said was true, I had talks, in August that week was a huge one, a huge decision for me to take, but I actually put it in God’s hands.

"But the more I said no to these people [in Saudi Arabia] the more they increased it and increased it, it was literally like, ‘Wow’, seeing these things.

"I spoke with the people in charge and we spoke about it with my club and we saw what we could do, we decided, me and them and I told them, ‘I like these people, I want to stay, I don’t think I want to leave for now’. They understand where I’m coming from but they never gave up until their own transfer window [closed].

"I said to them even before we played the first game of the season, ‘It’s done’, I really didn’t want to go back thinking, of course it’s a huge one, an amazing one that’s going to change my life but of course I had to make the decision that’s good for my career too. As much as we play football for money there’s more that comes with it."

Osimhen, 25, has two-and-a-half years remaining on his Napoli contract. He has still managed to score eight goals in 18 appearances in all competitions despite the Italian club’s stuttering title defence.
