Liverpool have unearthed some gems in the January transfer window but Jurgen Klopp has remained coy on any possible business this year.

The Reds are very much in the Premier League title hunt but did all of their business back in the summer and, despite not being the finished article, few major arrivals are expected this month. Klopp has recalled some of his loan stars from their spells away.

Owen Beck was among those to impress whilst getting regular game time and could yet get some more minutes with Liverpool dealing with several injuries. Klopp has lost two of his starters in Mo Salah and Wataru Endo to international duty for up to a month, but no short-term solutions are expected to be sourced.

Here's the latest from Anfield.

Carvalho close to send loan

Fabio Carvalho is set to complete his second loan move of the season with a switch to Hull City due to be announced.

Carvalho has struggled to recreate the form he showed at Fulham several years ago, which prompted Liverpool to make a move for the winger. A spell on loan at RB Leipzig didn't go to plan and he returned to Anfield earlier this month, but will now drop down to the Championship.

Hull's owner, Acun Ilicali, told Sky Sports: “We agreed all terms with him. I’m very happy to say he’s going to wear the Hull shirt. It’s almost done. The announcement has to be done, that’s all. The club will do it."

Reds centre-half options

Liverpool's links with centre-backs continue despite Klopp having a host of them at his disposal.

The Daily Mail reports that the Reds have been considering possible moves for Sporting Lisbon defenders Goncalo Inacio and Ousmane Diomande. The latter is understood to have a release clause of around £70million and, to further complicate things, is currently away with Ivory Coast at AFCON.

Wolfsburg's Maxence Lacroix is seen as another potential target. Virgil van Dijk is the commanding presence at the heart of Liverpool's backline and has been assisted by the likes of Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

Hendo wants Saudi exit

Jordan Henderson is looking to get himself back to Europe after enduring a horrid time in Saudi Arabia with Ajax exploring a possible deal.

The former Liverpool man moved to the Middle East for huge sums but has expressed a desire to leave Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq. Fabrizio Romano reports that Ajax has shown the most concrete interest so far, although Henderson's club are not keen on his departure.

Juventus were also credited with interest as Henderson looks to call time on his Saudi stint, which has already seen him heavily criticised. Liverpool reportedly have a sell-on clause inserted into the player's deal.
