A schoolgirl who dreams of being an air hostess completed her first 'shift' for Emirates aged just six.

Chloe Spriggs, 30, had been jetting off with little Sadie for a two-week holiday in Dubai from Manchester Airport when she was asked by one of the airline workers if she wanted to help out with some pre-flight tasks.

Already sporting her own Emirates outfit, the six-year-old jumped at the opportunity and helped to direct customers to their correct waiting areas as well as checking tickets as travellers boarded the flight.

Adorable footage shows Sadie standing at the doors of the plane checking people's tickets and pointing them in the direction of their seats as they board their flight on December 22.

Chloe said her daughter felt like a 'little celebrity' as people stopped her for photographs in the airport and came to look at her outfit during the flight.

The mum-of-one said her little girl did not stop talking about her flight attendant experience for their whole holiday and even wanted to tell her teacher that she now 'worked for Emirates' on her first day back at school on January 8.

Sadie has sported her Emirates costume on the last three flights she has travelled on with the airline since being gifted the uniform by a friend a year ago. Chloe, from Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire, said: "She just loved it and the Emirates staff are all so lovely. They really are like Disney Princesses for kids and they are all so nice. A lady came over and asked Sadie if she wanted to help out and her face lit up.

"Sadie always says she would love to become an air hostess one day and do this as her job and I guess she has now done some work experience. She was just telling people in different aeroplane classes where to sit in the waiting area and giving them directions.

"She was also opening the little belts to let people through to their gates. They also let her stand at the front of the plane [with the other air hostesses] and people showed her their tickets before boarding. She was absolutely made up about this and loved it.

"People were getting photos with her in the airport and she felt like a little celebrity. She is normally quite a shy kid but when she puts her Emirates costume on a little wave of confidence comes over her.

"Sadie wouldn't stop speaking about it the whole holiday and she asked me to go into school to tell her teacher that she now works at Emirates. It was just really cute to watch and she was just following the staff around. The air hostesses said she was the best little helper and they loved her outfit.

"Everyone on the plane was coming over to see us and wanted to see Sadie in her Emirates costume. It is definitely a core memory for her and she won't forget this. She hasn't stopped speaking about it."

After landing back in the UK on Friday, January 5, the beauty therapist shared a video of Sadie's 'work experience' on TikTok, which has since racked up 194,000 views and 14,000 likes.

A spokesperson for Emirates said: "“At Emirates, we pride ourselves on our Cabin Crew going the extra mile to ensure passengers have a memorable, engaging experience and are pleased to hear that Miss Spriggs and her daughter Sadie enjoyed their recent flight with us.

"Sadie was a great support for the Emirates team during her ‘work experience’ and we hope to see Sadie return as a full-time member of the Emirates Cabin Crew when she’s older.’’
