The Masked Singer viewers are convinced they have rumbled the identity of the Bubble Tea.

Judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora were left scratching their heads after Bubble Tea, dressed in a pink and yellow bubble-inspired outfit, took to the stage to sing a rendition of the classic Madonna hit Material Girl.

In the clues, Bubble Tea revealed they are a bubbly person, as well as dropping a clue about The Inbetweeners, a village and a lamb. Taking to Twitter, formerly known as X, some viewers were convinced it is Emily Atack, as the 34-year-old comedy actress soared to fame on The Inbetweeners as Charlotte Hinchcliffe and suffered an unfortunate This Morning lamb blunder back in 2019.

But other fans now think it is an iconic girl band star from the Noughties after the Bubble Tea also said: “I’m an influencer Sugababe”. Another clue was the word ‘pop’, with some theorising this meant pop star.

Judge Rita Ora picked up on this and said: “When I heard you sing, it really did resemble Heidi from the Sugababes.” Fans seemed to agree, with one suggesting: “I think #BubbleTea is Heidi Range from @Sugababes.”

Heidi was in Sugababes for 10 years and replaced original member Siobhan Donaghy in 2001. The band then went on to have some of their biggest hits including Freak Like Me, Round, Round, Push The Button and Hole in the Head, clocking up six number-one singles and two number-one albums before they split in 2011.

Some fans might not know that Heidi was an original member of Atomic Kitten, but left the band before they released any music. Sugababes has since reformed with its original line-up of Siobhan alongside Mutya Buena and Kiesha Buchananan.

These days, 40-year-old Heidi is more focused on being a mum to her daughters Aurelia, five, and two-year-old Athena, who she shares with husband Alex Partakis. She recently told New! magazine she has no regrets about leaving Sugababes.

She said: “When I was in the Sugababes, I lived out of a suitcase for about 15 years. When I had Aurelia, I just wanted to be at home and I was lucky enough to be in a situation where I could make that decision. That has been my main focus since I had her, and then Athena came along. It’s all been about the girls. When you’re in a band, there is so much tension on you as a person and everything is all about you. But when you have kids, it’s suddenly not about you anymore. The focus isn’t on how my hair is or if I’m a size 8 or a size 12. There’s bigger fish to fry.”
