Russell Brand 'earning whopping £25,000 per week from off-grid empire'

Russell Brand is still making thousands a week, according to his biographer, despite being dropped by his agent and having his revenue streams blocked by YouTube.

The comedian was cancelled after The Times and Channel 4 revealed sexual misconduct claims in their Dispatches documentary, which Brand has strenuously denied. Brand has denied all the allegations made against him, he denies rape, assault and emotional abuse and claims all encounters were consensual.

It hasn't stopped him from having to cancel a number of stand-up shows as well as being shunned for acting roles. In the documentary, five women accused him of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse, which led to the 48-year-old comedian being interviewed by Metropolitan police over “further” historic sex offences in December, a month after he was quizzed over the initial allegations raised in the documentary.

It has now been claimed that Brand is still coining it in with up to £25,000 per week coming into his coffers from 'off-grid' business ventures, with Tanith Carey, Russell Brand's first biographer, claiming to The Sun: "Brand may no longer be welcome on primetime TV, but even before his mainstream career was torn apart by the allegations of rape and sexual assault, last September, he was concentrating on getting a cult following on alternative social media channels where he had more control. Brand now has a solid and devoted social media following, many of whom aren’t bothered at all by the sexual allegations - and who see them as part of the establishment's conspiracy to silence him."

Carey also claimed that Brand was taking his career in a new direction which seems to be bringing in cash galore: "He is finding re-branding himself as a serious revolutionary and a spiritual guru can also be lucrative."

As well as the allegations levelled at Brand, he has courted controversy by sharing conspiracy theories about Covid and vaccinations as well as being accused of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. The comedian is now making waves on social media channel Rumble, where hundreds of thousands are watching his videos daily.

According to Carey, Brand is receiving a good income from 'off-grid' wellness activities and his TV production company, Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm Ltd, is over £4 million in profit and has paid out over £2 million over the last financial year. It has been claimed that Brand's fortune in the UK stands at around £4.2 million.

Brand also has 250,000 viewers on his Rumble channel on which creators can earn £16 per 1,000 viewers, so he is making around £20,000 a week from his five-days-a-week show which is bringing in around £4,000 per show. Carey said about Brand's income: "Brand knows his new audience. His videos around the pandemic and vaccines are particularly popular. He now has 1.79 million followers on Rumble, almost double what he had on the platform in March last year - and he can get at least 750,000 views on his most popular clips."
