Caddyshack and Tron star Cindy Morgan has died at 69 years old.

The American actress' cause of death is unknown for the time being but her body currently rests at a funeral home in Florida. Morgan also passed away in the same area, TMZ confirmed. The late actress gained notoriety after portraying Lacey Underall in the film Caddyshack opposite Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield. She was also known for her roles in Tron, Falcon Crest and CHiPs.

Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to pay tribute to the actress, with one writing: "SAD FAREWELL - Cindy Morgan. Too many passings already the first week of this year! Now we've lost Cindy Morgan, whom I best remember from Caddyshack and Tron, although she did many movies and TV shows... Cindy was only 69. RIP."

Another commented: "TRON star, Cindy Morgan has sadly passed away at 69. Known for many other films of course such as Caddyshack as Lacey Underall. She was a fantastic actress. She will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends, and I hope they can find peace and comfort during this time."

Back in 2012 Cindy discussed the Hollywood hit Caddyshack and auditioning for the iconic role. "Caddyshack was my first film and I'll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies," she explained at the time. "So at first, I had nothing to lose to audition. It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look 'em in the eye, do that thing many women know how to ..."

She worked consistently in Hollywood from to 1979 to 1995. After appearing in Out There (1995), she took a break from acting. When she returned to Hollywood, she focused her career mostly on voiceover work. She returned to the Tron franchise to voice Ma3a.

She also lent her voice to Gace of the Feather (2016) and her most recent project, Face of the Trinity (2022). In her later years, Morgan graced the silver screen, making waves in several short films and lending her voice to video games.

Morgan's final film role came in 2011 with her poignant portrayal in Empty Sky. On the small screen, she left an indelible mark in a 1994 episode of Under Suspicion.

Beyond acting, she channeled her passion into philanthropy, particularly championing the cause of U.S. Military veterans from the frontlines of Afghanistan and Iraq. Morgan also dedicated herself to raising funds for the Illinois Family Relief Fund.
