Corrie star’s 'ice maiden' Post Office boss now axes jobs at private firm

An executive from the Post Office scandal now hands out redundancy notices at a private firm.

Angela van den Bogerd, played by Corrie’s Katherine Kelly on TV, was blasted by a judge for her role. Now she is a consultant for engineering company Integral UK, dealing with around 100 job losses, some shortly before Christmas.

One ex-worker said: “She was very stern, very to the point. She didn’t take any bull****. People called her an ice maiden because they were losing their jobs and barely given a handshake on the way out. People had been with the company 40 years. The whole process was savage.”

Ms van den Bogerd’s now-deleted LinkedIn account described her as a “highly accomplished senior executive” with “a motivational leadership style based on honesty, trust and professional integrity”.

Integral confirmed she had worked as an independent HR contractor there since September 2022.
