Cher claims that her son Elijah is missing amid fight for conservatorship

Cher claims that her youngest son, Elijah Blue Allman, is missing.

The 77-year-old filed court papers to be in charge of her son's estate as she worries for his safety. She claimed that Elijah suffers from drug addiction and is "unable to manage his own financial resources," according to documents obtained by The Mirror.

She added that she was worried that her son would blow all the money on drugs, citing in a petition to a Los Angeles court: "Due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues, Elijah is not currently able to manage his finances."

But now the Believe singer claims that Elijah is missing, according to the Daily Mail. She made the claim in new court papers Friday that were filed hours before a decision was to be made on his case.

Elijah is Cher's son whom she shared with the late Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers. The 47-year-old is against the conservatorship, making his own petition to the court on Thursday that they should reject his mother's plea.

Cher has been in a feud with Elijah's estranged wife, Marieangela "Queenie" King, about the conservatorship. Marieangela claimed that Cher hired people to "kidnap" Elijah from a hotel room when the estranged couple were trying to rekindle their marriage.

Elijah also claims that he has been sober since 2008 but has admitted to having a sordid past with drug and alcohol abuse. In 2014, he admitted to taking drugs at 11 years old and battled a heroin addiction.

He also followed his famous parents' footsteps to become a musician. When he was 13 he joined his mother's touring band as a guitarist and made an appearance in her music video for her song If I Could Turn Back Time.

Elijah also performs under the name P. Exeter Blue (Phillips Exeter Blue) as a solo musician. He was the singer and guitarist for the rock band Deadsy until its hiatus and worked with Jared Leto's band Thirty Seconds to Mars on their first debut album.

He's the half-brother of Chaz Bono, Delilah Allman, Michael Allman, Layla Allman, and Devon Allman - with the first being through his mother and the others through his father.
