MTV's Teen Mom hit the headlines again this month following the hotel 'murder' of show star Taylor Lewis who first appeared on the programme in 2014.

She was found dead on January 5 at an Eden hotel. Her cause of death is 'still unknown', but it is believed that police are investigating a 'potential homicide'.

Taylor was known for her appearance on Teen Mom 2, a follow-up to the original show launched on the US network for the first time back in December 2009.

Since its launch, several dramatic ordeals have occurred both in front of the camera and behind the scenes over the years – here is Teen Mom's most chaotic moments.

The 35-year-old was with his now-wife Mackenzie Standifer, 26, on the way to their wedding during the reckless moment just a few years ago.

As soon as Mackenzie realised what was happening, watching Ryan fall asleep while behind the wheel, she switched off cameras and got him to pull over.

After facing an onslaught of backlash, Ryan, who had been battling drug addiction during the highly illegal stunt, was entered into rehab.

It was in April 2019 when the husband of controversial show star Jenelle Evans, 31, came under fire after shooting her French bulldog called Nugget.

David Eason, 34, pulled the trigger on their family pooch, in front of their children, after claiming it had attacked their two-year-old daughter Ensley.

The pair lost custody of their kids for an entire month following the killing, David later admitted he was 'remorseful' of his actions.

Once again, the ordeal caused a giant backlash and Jenelle was removed from the MTV show, David's contract had already been withdrawn due to homophobic comments.

Farrah Abraham was axed from Teen Mom after she was caught by show bosses starring in a sex tape back in 2013 – telling them she wouldn't leave the adult industry.

She had previously won the support of fans after starring in 16 And Pregnant before being cast in the first ever series of Teen Mom in 2009.

Just one month before her daughter Sophia was born, her dad Derek Underwood tragically died in a car crash in 2008 – something viewers warmed to her over.

But later in life she was dubbed 'difficult to work with' by castmates and was eventually pulled by MTV over the sex tape scenario.

After appearing in several adult webcam shows, Farrah accused the TV network of discrimination in 2021 after show co-star Briana DeJesus was found on OnlyFans.

Handgun road rage - Jenelle Evans

It was in 2018 when one of the show's most shocking moments occurred, as Jenelle Evans pulled a gun on a motorist while driving with her son Jace in the car.

Just eight-years-old at the time, the boy was seen in the footage as Jenelle got angry with a truck driver who cut her up – she followed him all the way home.

She whipped out the handgun when arriving at the motorist's home before leaving it unattended next to her youngster in the passenger seat.

Jenelle was accused of putting Jace's life in danger and even told Dr Drew that she'd been "having PTSD" and "nightmares" after the ordeal.
