Angelina Jolie’s brother is 'protecting' her kids after messy Brad Pitt split
Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven has opened up in a candid way about "protecting" her kids after she split from Brad Pitt.
Brad and Angelina, who split in 2016, share six children from their marriage. Their kids include 22-year-old Maddox, 19-year-old Pax, 18-year-old Zahara, 17-year-old Shiloh, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
And now the Maleficent star's brother James Haven has spoken out about how he became protective over the couple's kids following the actress’ split from her now ex-husband. Speaking on the 90who10 podcast, it was revealed that his protection over his sister and her kids kicked in when her personal life "unfolded in the public eye".

"I want to be there for them or for her — whatever she’s going through."
James, 52, then spoke about how he thought it was important that he was there for his sister's kids through their formative years, explaining: "They’re becoming young adults early 20s. I think it’s just very natural and I just want to be there any time.
"Anytime I’m blessed to be in their presence, I want to be in their presence."
Angelina married Brad in 2014. The couple enjoyed a total of 12 years together, with just two of those being married, before they announced their split in 2016.

Court documents that emerged in 2022 claimed that Brad allegedly "choked" one of the kids and struck another in the face. Brad's representatives refuted these claims, calling them “completely untrue” in a statement sent to CNN.
This comes after in November, it emerged that the couple's son previously shared a scathing rant on Instagram about the actor, with the teenager branding his adoptive father a "f***ing awful human".
The Mr and Mrs Smith actor has been the adoptive father of Pax Jolie-Pitt since Angelina adopted him from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2007.
At the time, Pax was only three years of age, and was in the orphanage after being dumped as a newborn baby by his heroin-addicted biological mother. And now, the 19-year-old has shared an explosive rant on social media about his Hollywood actor father figure, with him branding him a "terrible and despicable person".
According to MailOnline, Pax shared the rant on Father's Day 2020, with the teen penning at the time: "You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday."
In the post that was allegedly shared on the story of his private Instagram account when he was 16, Pax added: "So Happy Father's Day, you f*****g awful human being."
