Speaking of the new A Place in the Sun spin-off show, Executive producer, Michelle Heeley, told the Mirror: “It’s been wonderful to re-visit these house-hunters who are thriving in their new homes in the sun. We are immensely proud to have helped change so many people's lives. It’s a testament to all the hard work our production team and presenters have put in over the past 23 years. I can’t wait for viewers to see what happens next.”

Away from presenting, Laura recently opened up on her love life after splitting from her husband Alex Goward in 2022 after ten years of marriage. She said she has since been on multiple dates but hasn't managed to find the right man for her, admitting she is "picky". In an interview said: "I’ve been on some great dates, to some lovely restaurants, on a picnic, to the theatre. But I get the 'ick' quite quickly. Once I’ve got the ick, I’m done."

Laura revealed she looking to find someone who will eventually become her best friend. "It has to be someone who I can be myself with, and is my best friend — and trust is everything for me. It always has been, and I don’t think that is much to ask," she added when speaking with The Sun on Sunday.

The presenter is a mum of two to Tahlia, eight, and son Rocco, nine, whom she shares with her ex. At the time of her split from Alex, she shared that the couple separated on mutual terms and would co-parent their small children.
