Best January sales deals from British Airways, easyJet, TUI and more
With Christmas now behind us for another year, January is an excellent time to start planning your summer adventures.
As travel agents and airlines compete to win our attention with discount deals and added extras, the January travel sales could see sunseekers make big savings on their next getaway. From city breaks to long-haul excursions, there are thousands of incredible deals out there, if you know where to find them.
While some holiday companies launched their sales ahead of the Christmas weekend, savvy travellers could still save up to £300 on far-flung adventures, £250 on holiday hotspots and up to 25% on hotel stays.
As grey winter days turn our thoughts to sunny weather and cocktails on the beach, we've compiled some of best the savings to be made from the UK's biggest names in travel.
British Airways
Abandoned UK airport plans relaunch with budget flights to Spain and Cyprus
British Airways launched its big annual sale back on December, 20 with deals expected to run until the end of January.
The flag carrier is offering discounts on flights and holiday packages across the globe, including cut-price seats on selected routes to Europe and seven-night holiday packages to holiday hotspots such as Malta, Algarve and Malaga starting from just £249 per person.
A popular choice for transatlantic travellers, BA has a limited number of seats on flights to New York from £356, Orlando from £386 and San Francisco from £415, as well as a wide choice of discounted hotel stays.
Booking.com
Online travel agent Booking.com is currently offering 15% off selected stays, inviting travellers to embrace new adventures for the new year.
As part of its Early 2024 Deals promotion, discounts are applied to the original price of a room, before taxes and charges, and are applicable on stays until April 1, 2024.

When it comes to flying with easyJet, passengers can expect to save as much as 20% on over 2.8 million worldwide seats as part of its Big Orange Sale. The discounted fares are available across thousands of easyJet flights between January, 8 and November 30, 2024, from the UK to over 130 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Sister company EasyJet Holidays is offering savings of up to £300 off all package holidays currently on sale, by simply using the code 'BIGSALE' on bookings made before 11pm on February 5, 2024. Holidaymakers can save £300 when they spend a minimum of £3000, £150 when they spend a minimum of £1500, and £100 when they spend a minimum of £800.
Expedia
Parents leave baby at airport check-in to avoid paying more for Ryanair flight
Offering great deals on travel and accommodation all year round, Expedia is welcoming the New Year with up to 25% off selected prices until the end of January.
Discounts can be found on stays at hotels provided they are booked for travel before August 31, 2024, and include city escapes, last-minute getaways and European beach holidays from as little as £188 per person.
First Choice
First Choice regularly runs promotions and discounts throughout the year, and in its big January sale, it is pushing the boat out with up to up to £250 off summer holiday bookings made up until February, 29.
With a huge selection of holidays on offer in Spain, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Orlando, New York, Florida and many more popular holiday hotspots, sunseekers could save on trips departing between May, 1 and October 31, 2024.
First Choice customers can also book now with £0 deposits if they choose to use PayPal Credit.
Can't wait until the summer to get away? First Choice has some super cheap deals on last-minute winter sun holidays departing in February. Prices start from as little as £183 for seven nights in Turkey.

Holiday specialist Jet2 is offering discounts on selected holidays to some of their best-selling destinations including Spain, Greece, Turkey and the Algarve.
Holidaymakers will be able to warm up for less with up to £50 per person off holidays to the sun. Customers who sign up for a Myjet account could also save as much as £220 on their next holiday, with a further discount of £60 per person available for members.
Already offering competitive prices for sunseekers on a budget, some of the best deals we found include seven nights in Salou from £326 per person in April or seven nights in Corfu from £354 per person in May.
The holiday company is also helping customers save money on flights with 10% off all flights, plus an extra 5% off with a myJet2 account.
Loveholidays
Online travel agent Loveholidays offers super cheap holiday deals all year round, opening up the world to holidaymakers on all budgets.
This month, they are offering up to 25% off selected hotel stays across Europe and beyond. There is also a sale on family summer holidays for 2024 with discounts on holidays to Tenerife, the Greek Islands, Eygpt, Turkey and more.
Some of the best deals we found today include seven nights in Turkey for £166 per person in April, seven nights in Lloret de Mar for £178 per person in May and seven nights in Turkey for £204 per person in June.
Ryanair
While Ryanair seems to have lots of "sales" throughout the year, some of their best deals can be found in January.
As part of its New Year deals, the budget airline has started strong with 20% off flights on travel between now and March 15, 2024.
For getaways with big savings, customers can snap up fares to a variety of European cities across Europe starting from as little as £14.99 one way.
Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook is famed for offering high-quality holidays to destinations across Europe and beyond.
This month, the travel giant has up to 25% off selected city breaks, last-minute deals and long-haul destinations. The January discount deal is valid on bookings made up to 23:59 on January 20, 2024, and travel dates may vary.
Some of the best deals include seven nights in Benidorm from £295 per person in April, seven nights in Zante from £247 per person in May and seven nights in Turkey from £395 per person in June.
Save up to £300 on Marella Cruises with TUI (TUI)TUI
The TUI Live Happy sale offers £100 off a spend of £1000 and £250 off bookings costing more than £2500 on summer holidays across Europe and beyond. Customers who sign up for a myTUI account could alternatively choose to save £300 on selected long-haul holidays using a unique code.
Some TUI holidays can be booked with £0 deposits, with the cost of the getaway spread across monthly Direct Debits. TUI is also promising to offer more 'Kids Go Free' places than ever before, even in the school holidays, helping to make dream holidays more affordable.
This year's sale also offers up to £300 off selected Marella Cruises and TUI River Cruises, depending on departure date and destination.
Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic has launched some big deals in their seasonal sale.
One of their finest offerings includes £60 per adult and £45 per child off prices to Orlando when you book before March 31, for travel in 2024 - a saving of £210 for a family of 4. There are also good deals on flights from London to New York for £376 and London to Miami for £412.
While Virgin will offer many similar deals to their flag-carrying rival, British Airways, they also have some unique routes to delicious destinations such as Havana, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Shanghai. Virgin Atlantic also offers non-stop routes from Manchester to Florida, New York, Barbados and Jamaica, making them more attractive to travellers from the north of England.

Low-cost flight provider Wizz Air has welcomed the new year with 24% off flights for 2024. The limited-time deal sees prices start from as little as £11.98, or just £8.99 for Wizz Air Discount Club members.
Delivering discounts on over 3 million seats flying to various destinations in France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and more, flyers could snap up cheap flights to sunshine destinations this summer.
Wowcher
Deal site Wowcher offers a wide range of cheap city breaks, holidays and mystery travel deals. Already great value for money, they traditionally slash prices even further in the January sales.
Some of the best deals for savvy travellers include two nights in Lake Como for £59 per person, three nights in The Algarve for £89 per person or five nights in Benidorm for £259 per person.
