The predator jailed for murdering Zara Aleena as she walked home from seeing friends has allegedly been caught having sex behind bars at one of Britain’s top -security prisons.

Jordan McSweeney left Ms Aleena - who was - for dead after and brutally attacking and sexually assaulting her in nine minutes of sickening violence. He was jailed for life with a minimum term of 38 years for the evil crime although last November had his term reduced by five years after an appeal.

He is serving his time at Category A HMP Belmarsh with the likes of Michael Adebolajo, the murderer of soldier Lee Rigby and ex-children's TV presenter Paul Ballard, who is locked up after causing the death of two people by dangerous driving, as well as for rape.

However, it has been reported McSweeney was allegedly caught having sex with a female prison worker in 2022.

”A spokesman for the Met Police said: "On 6 April 2023, the Met received an allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a serving member of staff at HMP Belmarsh. The same day, a 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

"She was bailed pending further enquiries until a date in late July. She was later released under investigation. Enquiries are ongoing."

A Prison Service spokesperson said: “It would be inappropriate to comment on a live police investigation."

McSweeney’s attack on Ms Aleena was caught on grainy CCTV, lasted nine minutes and resulted in 46 separate injuries. She was found struggling to breathe and later died in hospital.

In the wake of his sentence being reduced to 33 years, Zara's family described it as a “shallow triumph” which sends a “disheartening” message to women. In a statement issued by her aunt, Farah Naz, they said: “Today’s decision, a decision to reduce the minimum sentence for that repugnant man, aligns with an established legal sentencing framework, a framework we comprehend.

“Yet, the message it conveys to women is disheartening, suggesting that a ‘life sentence’ may not truly mean a lifetime behind bars. It is, in all honesty, a shallow triumph for him. Despite his sentencing to a minimum of 33 years, his time in incarceration has been marred by abhorrent conduct, marked by a lack of remorse and a callous attitude toward others. The prospect of his release after 33 years remains slim, but, naturally, we hope he remains imprisoned for life.

“Zara, a beacon of hope, a symbol of change. Her tragic murder stands as a catalyst for reshaping how society safeguards women. She serves as our guiding light, and we invite each and every one of you to stand with us in preserving her memory, supporting our campaigning efforts, and ensuring that her legacy is not forgotten. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of women and in the fight against the darkness that threatens their safety.”
