Strictly Come Dancing host, Claudia Winkleman has shared her retirement plans to chill out and smoke spliffs with co-host Tess Daly.

Despite only trying cannabis once and fainting, she now takes CBD capsules to help her relax. The TV star is looking forward to sparking up a joint with Tess after ordering a "massive slab" of cannabis following her retirement from entertainment. Claudia, 51, doesn't drink coffee and barely touches alcohol, but might try the "full fat" version of CBD capsules when her kids have left home.

Currently, cannabis is an illegal drug and is classified as Class B. However, CBD oil and other related products are legal but only if the product meets certain criteria and it is recommended to purchase it from a pharmacist or speak to a doctor. The broadcaster joked about texting Tess to reminisce about their Strictly days.

She said: "When I'm alone and fired from everything, I'll text Tess 'Babe, do you remember when we used to do Strictly? Can I come to yours and just say 'The judge's scores are in!' Then maybe, yes, I'll take a massive slab of it!" But that's not her only admission as the star claims she only lands jobs due to her iconic fringe.

Claudia claims that producers often don't remember her name. When asked how she continues to land jobs, she said: "Because I have a fringe. I used to get work because if you couldn't remember a name, they'd say 'That weird one with a fringe.'"

Speaking on Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Claudia revealed that she nearly resigned from Strictly in 2021 after a disagreement about the schedules. She confessed: "I phoned the boss of Strictly, quite dramatically and said through tears, 'Sarah, I love you and I never want to leave, but if the first show is September 13th, I'm out'."

The beloved presenter also spoke tenderly about her son, stating: "It's not because I love him more than other people love their kids. I think this is something that parents have to go through and I don't know how it's going to work exactly." And there was a beat. And she said, 'Quite dramatic. We don't start that week.' I was like, 'Alright. I have to go and put up his posters'. It's not that I love him more than others love their kids, but this is something parents have to go through."

Earlier this week, Claudia revealed on The Graham Norton Show that when she first signed up to present Strictly, she was given the full line-up before it was announced, including codenames for each contestant. But she was tricked by a member of staff who unbeknownst to her, was trying to catch her out. She later revealed all to the member of staff who reported back to bosses.
