Former opponent of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua gives new take on grudge fight

Otto Wallin has changed his mind on a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua following his recent defeat to 'AJ'.

Wallin has now faced both of the British heavyweights following his one-sided knockout loss to Joshua in Saudi Arabia last weekend. The Swede had only been beaten by heavyweight champion Fury going into his fight against Joshua, as he lost to 'The Gypsy King' back in 2019.

Fury was taken to points by Wallin in a fight that easily could have been stopped after the Brit suffered a massive cut above his eye. Wallin admitted his loss to Joshua was tougher than his loss to Fury and has changed his prediction on a potential fight between the British rivals.

“I would say that this fight with Joshua was a lot tougher than the fight I had with Fury. It’s hard to say. I think that Fury’s a very good fighter. Can probably pick it up from what he was doing in his last fight. It’s a decent fight. We’ll see what happens with Joshua now," Wallin told Boxing News.

Joshua's win against Wallin marked his first fight under coach Ben Davison, the same trainer who coached Fury for several years. 'AJ' is expected to fight Filip Hrgovic for a world title next after Deontay Wilder blew a $100million two-fight deal to fight him by losing against Joseph Parker.

Wallin added of Joshua: "He might be on to something really good with Ben Davison, and Ben obviously knows Tyson. I don’t know. There’s a lot of variables. I always said that Fury would win that fight, but now just being in with Joshua, I feel a little bit different. It’s hard to go against Tyson I think. But, I don’t know, it’s changed my mind a bit after this fight.”

“He hit me with some good body shots. I’m always ready for that, of course, but I think they had a good gameplan. I haven’t watched the fight, but he felt like a very good fighter. Obviously it was a much tougher fight than what I had with Fury. He did really well. Maybe he’s found his home with Ben Davison.”
