If you're hastily waving goodbye to 2023 because you feel as though it's not been your best year yet, chances are you may well be a Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or Leo - but the positive news is that better days are coming your way.

Astrologer Inbaal Honigman shared the star signs set to unlock their potential in the coming year, sharing that each person has an element alongside their star sign - fire, water, earth, and air. But they also have three modalities - fixed, cardinal, and mutable. Fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. Mutable signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. Inbaal explained to Femail why the fixed signs can expect calmer days ahead.

Saturn has been in Aquarius for the past three years roughly, and it's the planet of slow changes, with opportunities to learn - but there are also plenty of blocks and delays when this is your sign. "This means that Aquarians have had a hard time getting their relationships to work and getting projects off the ground", Inbaal explained. But it's going to be Pluto that finally gets things off the ground for the air sign, which is represented by the water bearer.

Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth, has not been in Aquarius for the past 220 years, but recently, it has been moving in and out of the sign. When it settles, Inbaal said it would be a "huge deal" for the sign. It is set to be in the sign from January 20, 2024, until September 1. Then, it will go back to Capricorn until November 19, 2024, then will stay in Aquarius for almost 20 years.

As a result, Aquarians could "rise into positions of power", and can bring "positive changes" to people around them, and their wider communities. Leo people, on the other hand, have not been "horrifically unlucky", but with them being opposite to Aquarius, they may have had some hardships. The future seems like it will be bright for them too, thanks to their Aquarius influence.

Taurus and Scorpio oppose each other on the zodiac, much like Aquarius and Leo. Taurus and Scorpio will both likely be exhausted after being tested by one transformative period after another - and this is due to recent eclipses. Inbaal explained: "Whenever we see solar and lunar eclipses, they always happen on an axis, meaning that a series of eclipses will happen in a certain sign and its polar opposite."

There have been many eclipses throughout 2023, and eclipses can be seen as a "reset", or a chance for "new beginnings", Inbaal noted that eclipses bring "spiritual upheaval." Thankfully, though, both signs are in for luck and fortune moving forward. Jupiter is moving into Taurus, which will bring "luck and joy."

"Pluto is the ruling planet for Scorpio, and it will be spending most of the next 20 years in that other fixed sign, Aquarius, which is good news for Scorpio, as they'll find that life treats them gently and kindly", Inbaal said.
