'Royal survey is a huge waste of taxpayer's money - we already know the results'

This is a completely unnecessary poll. For as long as anyone can remember, the future of the royal family has been the subject of surveys. The results are always the same. Some want a monarchy, some don’t. But those who do are always the majority. The alternative is too dreadful to contemplate. A president as head of state. No continuity. No respect and certainly far less knowledge and dedication to the job than King Charles III.

What an appalling waste of government money – our money! Are the Government so insecure they need to ask thousands their opinion when they know the answer? The slimmed-down monarchy is popular. They have their highs and lows like any other institution. At the moment they are riding on a high.

Who would want to do something every day of the year being supervised; watched and criticised constantly? It is no fun being royal in the 21st century. Unless you have a calling to change the world and do good, which the current working royal family have. You don’t need to spend nearly £2million to find that out. Just follow them for a day. You can’t even give your mates an honour – only the Government can do that. And waste our money.
