Corrie star 'bombarding' footballer boyfriend with TikToks in hope he'll propose

Corrie star Lucy Fallon is so keen for her fella to propose she is trying to get him to Tik a hint – by bombarding him with videos of engagement rings.

The actress, who makes her explosive return as Bethany Platt on the ITV soap tomorrow, says she hopes Championship footballer Ryan Ledson will finally pop the question a year after she gave birth to their boy, Sonny. Lucy, 28, said: “I’m waiting for it… I’ve sent him a few TikToks when I’ve seen a nice ring. I mean, I am going to be wearing it every day, so I want it to be something I like!”

Lucy met Preston North End midfielder Ryan, 26, on celebrity dating app Raya in May 2021. The couple welcomed their son in January this year – and the actress cannot get enough of family life. “I always wanted to be a mum and I feel like he’s just slotted into our lives perfectly,” she said. “He’s really chilled. I feel like we’ve been quite lucky with how he is.”

However, Lucy and Ryan have put plans for baby No2 on hold so she can focus on her Corrie comeback. Lucy walked away from Weatherfield in 2020 but said it was an “easy decision” to go back. And Corrie boss Iain Macleod has revealed Bethany will be at the centre of a huge storyline over 2024.

She is set to spend the night with her former flame Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), causing friction between him and his ex-fiancee, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan). Before Bethany swapped the cobbles for a fashion job in London, Daniel proposed to her with his late wife’s ring – but Bethany realised he had never got over her death.

Lucy, who played Bethany on the soap for five years from 2015 to 2020, also teased a potential new love interest. She said: “I trust the producer and writers to bring her back and play out however [they see fit]. She might bring someone else back with her that she’s met – the love of her life, who knows!”
