Simon Cowell nets £50million payday from Got Talent and X Factor TV empire
Simon Cowell has netted almost £1m a week with the global success of his TV brands.
The £50m-a-year pay day is reported in accounts filed by the firm he uses to manage his Got Talent and X Factor empire.
Figures submitted to Companies House by Syco Holdings state that “a controlling interest” took the bumper dividend during the 12 months ending in March.

Simon, 64, has been the controlling interest in the firm since 2022. The company reported a £21.9m pre-tax profit on a £32.6m turnover. Half came from the US, with £7.1m from the UK and £8.9m from the rest of the word.
Last year, Simon and the company did a deal for an investment bank to buy bonds backed by his global TV franchises. These appear in the accounts as £93m in bank loans “secured by fixed charges over the intangible Got Talent TV format”.

Along with reserves the firm already had, Simon could pay himself £50m and still leave Syco in the black.
More than a billion viewers a year watch Got Talent shows in 186 countries. Local formats of The X Factor are commissioned in 59 territories.
