A popular DJ is facing jail time after he filmed himself urinating on a pensioner at a social club and then uploaded the video on social media.

Leigh Brookfield, 40, pleaded guilty to common assault after the sickening incident which took place at the urinals in Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club in Wales on Boxing Day. He has since been charged with the assault and said he was "absolutely paralytically drunk" when the incident took place at around 8 pm.

The outrageous clip, which he posted on Snapchat, shows the elderly man standing next to him and talking about his severe health problems. Brookfield could be heard as he replied, "Sorry to hear that bud" whilst urinating on the man.

The footage has since sparked backlash after it was widely shared on Facebook. The DJ, who has been a regular at Llanelli venues for around 15 years, has since apologised for his behaviour in a post on the site and said he was "deeply sorry".

He said: "It's just something me and the boys do when we are drunk, and until watching the video back I didn't realise that the nice gentleman next to me was going through health problems." He later said that he could not "really remember any of it happening" and said he is "digusted" by his behaviour

"My actions were inexcusable. I've seen the video and I'm disgusted with myself," he continued. "My hand on my heart, I was not aware of what the gentleman was saying to me. I was crying watching what I did." On December 29, Brookfield appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court charged with common assault in relation to the incident where he pleaded guilty, reports Wales Online.

He will be sentenced on January 19. After confirming they were investigating reports of the incident, a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said before his court appearance: “Dyfed-Powys Police has charged 40-year-old Leigh Brookfield, of Dan Y Lan, Llanelli, with common assault in relation to the incident alleged to have taken place at Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club in Llanelli on Boxing Day. He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court today.” The Mirror has contacted the police for comment.
