Everything the Kardashians have said about plastic surgery over the years
Fans of the Kardashian-Jenner family have often wondered how the reality TV stars have achieved their looks, with many people accusing them of undergoing plastic surgery.
Kim Kardashian shocked fans with her recent appearance at a Los Angeles Lakers game, as many people said she had a "collapsed nostril", perhaps from "botched" surgery. She later fuelled plastic surgery rumours when fans became convinced she had a "lumpy jaw" at a glitzy party.
And Kim isn't the only one to have been surrounded by surgery speculation. Her younger sister Kylie Jenner has admitted to being "hurt" by rumours she's had a lot of work done. Here, we've taken a look back at everything the Kardashian family have said about plastic surgery.

Unfortunately, things didn't go to plan and Kim said her eyes were on fire and incredibly itchy. She admitted: "The doctor did warn me about side effects," before panicking that she might have suffered nerve damage.

People jumped on the "botched" procedure, prompting Kim to speak out about the ordeal on her website. Writing at the time, she said: "I am not against Botox, and I would never judge anyone else for getting any kind of surgical or non-surgical procedure, but I think when you're young, there are other ways you can look after your skin. Botox just wasn't necessary for me at this age."
Eight years later, Kim made headlines around the world when she stepped out with a huge bum. In an attempt to prove she didn't have a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Kim had it X-rayed during an episode of KUWTK. The doctor first X-rayed Kourtney's breasts, to show viewers what an implant looks like, and then X-rayed Kim's bum before declaring: "No implants!"
In 2019, while getting her makeup done for a Mario Dedivanoic Masterclass, Kim denied going under the knife for a rhinoplasty. "I never had my nose done," she said. "Everyone thought I did, and I said, 'Wait until you have kids because your real features come out.'"
Just last year, Kim also credited her good looks to "beauty treatments". Speaking to Allure, she said "After everyone's in bed, I'm doing laser treatments. I've never had eyelash extensions. I've never done anything."
She also said she believes there "does come a point when you've taken it too far" and said some people can be "overfilled" with "too much cosmetic worse". She said there's "nothing worse" than looking "too tight" from surgery.

The Good American founder also admitted to having injections but said she stays away from Botox. Last year, Khloe further opened up about her nose job and told fans on social media that she had it done a few weeks before her daughter True Thompson's first birthday.
As well as a nose job, Khloe has credited weight loss for her change in appearance. "I openly talk about my nose job and anyone who 'looks up' to me must know I've lost over 60 pounds over the years," she said on Instagram after haters questioned her face. Khloe also shot back and said she "didn't know I had to do a running list".

In December 2021, Kourtney had the perfect response for an Instagram follower who accused her of having "plenty" of plastic surgery, suggesting the Poosh founder had "botox, nose job, some sort of butt shot or bbl just to start." Kourtney shot back: "No better compliment than a too good to be real kind of compliment."

In January 2022, Kourtney revealed she had undergone a facial procedure. Speaking in an Instagram video, she said: "I'm here doing my Le Visage Lift Contour." As a tool was pressed against her skin, she added that the process was "like lifting and contouring."

During an appearance on E!'s Good Work in 2015, she said she had "Botox and fillers and lasers." She added: "And I had a boob job in the 80s after four kids because gravity took over.
"It was great for about 25 years, or 30, whatever it was, and then a couple years ago, I felt like they were too big. And I felt matronly and nothing fit anymore." She said she had the implants removed and smaller ones put in.
The momager also said that while many people think she and her family have had their noses done, she hasn't. "I was born with it," she insisted. Kris's comments came a few years before daughter Khloe went under the knife.
When asked what advice she had for anyone considering plastic surgery, Kris said: "You have to do what makes you feel good. First of all, you can't do something because somebody else wants you to do it. And then you have to do great research on the doctor that you choose."
In 2018, Jenner also underwent an earlobe reduction during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. For the 2019 holiday season, Kris treated her family and friends to Botox gift cards.

"These plastic surgery rumors hurt my feelings to be honest and are kinda insulting. Just in case anyone forgot.. I'm 16," Kylie tweeted in April 2014. "You guys have watched me grow up since I was nine. My face is going to get different. Now, I know how to do my makeup, contour, and everything," she added in a January 2015 interview with Cosmopolitan.
In May of that year, Kylie said she got "temporary lip fillers" because of her insecurities. "It's what I wanted to do. I want to admit to the lips, but people are so quick to judge me on everything. So I might have tiptoed around the truth, but I didn't lie," she said on KUWTK.
Kylie opened up about her insecurities in a 2017 episode of Life of Kylie. "I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips. I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, 'I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips'."
She added: "I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don't know, it just really affected me. I just didn't feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips. And then finally I was like this lip liner isn't doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done."
Kylie further opened up about her insecurities as she told HommeGirls this year: "I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t! Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up I was always the most confident person in the room. I was the girl performing for everyone. I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I've ever done."
Speaking to her best friend Anastasia 'Stassie' Karanikolaou on an episode of The Kardashians this year, Kylie finally admitted to having breast augmentation surgery. She said she had the surgery as a teenager and admitted it's something she regrets.
"You know I got my breasts done before Stormi. Within six months of like having Stormi, not thinking I would like have a child when I was 20, like they were still healing," she said. The reality star added: "I had beautiful breasts, like natural t*ts, just gorgeous, like perfect size, perfect everything, and I just wished, obviously, I never got them done to begin with."
Kendall Jenner

Makeup does wonders. Honestly, people can make something up and really make other people believe it, and there's not much you can do about it."
She later slammed surgery rumours and questioned why she would have her face "reconstructed" as a model. "It's crazy because sometimes I feel like people just want me to lose.
"I found this Instagram page devoted to Kardashian bashing and it has a lot of followers. I don't ever take that stuff personally, but it was upsetting for me to look at because this person dedicated an entire page to just dissing the whole family and being like, 'These people suck'," she said in a January 2017 live stream.
