Manchester City star Jack Grealish's mansion was targeted by burglars just two days after Christmas Day as he played in the win over Everton.

The police are said to have raced to Grealish's home on Wednesday night, with a helicopter called in to search for the burglars. The group of robbers were reportedly able to escape with items worth a significant amount of cash.

Grealish played all 90 minutes as City came from behind to beat Everton 3-1 on Wednesday night. He was reportedly told of the robbery shortly after the final whistle, rushing back to his home.

According to a source, no one was injured in the incident. Police officers searched the area around the mansion over the course of Wednesday night and Thursday, with forensics also called in. As they confirmed they were investigating, Cheshire Police appealed for information.

“At around 9.50pm on Wednesday December 27 police were called to reports of a burglary. The caller reported that a number of items had been stolen," the force said in a statement.

“No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police.”

Mirror Football have contacted Grealish and Manchester City for comment.

The England midfielder was in action on Wednesday night and helped the reigning champions bounce back to secure a much-needed three points. Jack Harrison gave Everton the lead but goals from Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva secured the win.
