Strictly Come Dancing star admits he 'can't watch show anymore' after exit
Chris Ramsey, who once competed on Strictly Come Dancing, has admitted he "can't watch" the show anymore.
The comedian finished fourth in 2019 with ballroom and latin dancer Karen Hauer after loosing to CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual in the semi-final dance-off. His wife, Rosie Ramsey, took part in last year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
She performed a Jive with Neil Jones and nearly got a perfect score, but Chris admitted it was hard for him to watch his wife take part because of his own experience on the show. Speaking about her performance, he said: "39 for a first dance, no way! Craig whacking out the 9's. I got 13 for my first dance."
Chris confirmed that he's hung up his dancing shoes for now. "I don't miss it," Chris confessed. "When I hear this certain noise, I get proper anxiety - it's just before you start and you have to pose on the dance floor in a stupid hat. Rosie will put Strictly on now and I can't watch it so I'll float in and out of the room."

And the professional dancers get credit, but I don't think they get enough credit for how hard it must be to teach useless celebrities how to even walk around that dance floor. It's much harder than they make it look on the telly - give me the stunts any day of the week."

He's now taking a break from comedy to star in Sky Max's new programme, The Unofficial Science of Die Hard. Alongside comedian Paul Chowdhry and engineer Zoe Laughlin, Chris tries to recreate some of Die Hard's action scenes.
"We do the iconic Hans Gruber fall from the end of the movie," Chris shares. "We walk over glass as well, and the science behind it is incredible. They use this stuff that's basically jelly, but when you snap it, it goes into shards to make it look sharp. So you just walk on it and they put the sound effect of glass on it. It's absolutely horrible to watch."
Chris talks about the big bangs in Die Hard for a new Sky Max show. "There's a bit in Die Hard where the lift shaft blows up and a fireball comes up. It's really iconic," he says. "The fireball comes up slowly and John jumps out of the way of it. Basically we learned that if it really was C-4 explosives, then John wouldn't have had a second to move he would have been incinerated!"
Chris also tells us about blowing up a shed: "We also went out to this field and blew up a shed it was horrifying. You see people in movies walking away from an explosion lighting a cigar, but actually it would have thrown them miles into the air and ripped all the skin off their back."
But no matter what, Chris believes Die Hard is all about Christmas - "I won't hear anything against it, they are 100% Christmas movies!"
