EastEnders fans blown away by cast's 'phenomenal' singing on ITV festive special
The cast of EastEnders have left viewers seriously impressed after taking part in Christmas Eve ITV show Britain Get Singing.
Hosted by Roman Kemp, Britain Get Singing sees five groups made up of stars from TV’s biggest shows - Good Morning Britain, Love Island, Coronation Street, The Masked Singer and EastEnders - take to the stage in a bid to deliver a show-stopping performance.
The groups put their vocal prowess to the test as they looked to not only impress the studio audience but a Super Panel made up of some of TV’s most iconic judges. This year, The Masked Singer’s Jonathan Ross joined the Super Panel alongside Adam Lambert, Alesha Dixon and will.i.am.
Making up team EastEnders were Emma Barton, Heather Peace, Clair Norris, Matthew Morrison, Angela Wynter and Sid Owen. Soap fans will recall that Emma plays Honey Mitchell, Heather plays Eve Unwin, Clair plays Bernadette Taylor, Matthew plays Felix Baker, Angela plays Yolande Trueman and Sid plays Ricky Butcher.
The group performed an incredible rendition of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, where they received a standing ovation from some of the judges. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Brilliant performance! All your voices are amazing!!! Well done guys!" while another viewer wrote: "Wow!!! That was phenomenal! What a talented cast! #britaingetsinging #eastenders".

The show and groups support ITV’s groundbreaking mental health campaign, Britain Get Talking, and the festive TV event once again included inspiring moments in which the stars discussed their own experiences of mental health.
Making up team Good Morning Britain were Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins, Alex Beresford, Laura Tobin and Dr Amir Khan, and Coronation Street’s group were Claire Sweeney, Vinta Morgan, Lisa George, Cherylee Houston and Mollie Gallagher.
Elsewhere, The Masked Singer group were Chris Kamara (Ghost), Russell Watson (Cockroach) and Aled Jones (Traffic Cone) while Love Island's group were Molly Marsh, Davide Sanclimenti, Zachariah Noble, Jacques O’Neill and Marcel Somerville.
However, despite impressing with their vocal skills, it was the cast of Coronation Street who were crowned the winners at the end of the episode.
