Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney called out four times by Wrexham rivals
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been Wrexham co-owners for three years, but their Hollywood ownership is not universally popular, particularly with some of their rivals.
Earning promotion from the National League back into League Two has only led to further scrutiny on the Welsh club this season. Despite that, they are among a pack of clubs pushing for automatic promotion from the fourth tier into League One.
The ' Welcome to Wrexham ' documentary series is charting their rise through the divisions, with the third season set to premiere next year. And the access-all-areas show is just one thing their detractors call out over.

Billy Sharp beef
Wrexham met Sheffield United in the fourth round of last season's FA Cup, drawing 3-3 with the Championship club at the Racecourse Ground to force a replay. But for a 95th-minute equaliser from John Egan, they would have knocked the Premier League -bound Blades out.
In the replay at Bramall Lane, Wrexham had a chance to take the lead with a penalty, but Paul Mullin had the strike saved before the hosts then scored twice in stoppage time to triumph and seal a tie against Tottenham Hotspur.
As dramatic as the 90 minutes were, the post-match shenanigans brought equal entertainment as Billy Sharp, who scored the winning goal, had plenty to say about their opponents. "I wasn't happy with the way they've been as a club before the game, eyeing up Spurs. They've not even beaten us," he told ITV after the match before a scuffle ensued inside the stadium.

More recently, Accrington Stanley owner Andy Holt called out Reynolds directly before and after their teams met in League Two last month. The businessman took umbrage with the Welsh club undermining their opponents by reducing ticket prices for the return fixture by £5 in reaction to Accrington raising theirs by that amount for their maiden meeting this season.
Holt called the statement "mistimed" and "stupid". After the match, which Stanley won 2-0, he suggested on social media that Reynolds "should cut prices by a tenner" before urging him to "get that on Netflix," alluding to the Disney+ docuseries.
Mascot mystery
Earlier this month, Wrexham's FA Cup opponents Yeovil Town also released an unusual statement on the day of their second round tie. "Unfortunately, we've been refused permission for our mascots to lead out the team today," it read.
The statement then clarified their Jolly Green Giant mascot would still be at the Racecourse Ground for the fixture. It all came days after the club signed a sponsorship deal with Aldi before the match.
Tyson Fury fighting talk
One-time prospective Morecambe owner Tyson Fury offered to fight Reynolds before their two teams faced late last month. "Yeah, I'm going to call out Ryan Reynolds," the heavyweight champion told reporters after being asked whether he would be at the match.
Wrexham won the match 6-0, but Fury did not stop there. He later shared a mock-up image on Instagram of him fighting Deadpool, a character Reynolds portrays on-screen, asking followers to vote who would come out on top.
