What time is Deontay Wilder fight? UK start time for Joseph Parker fight

Deontay Wilder returns to action tonight against Joseph Parker with the hopes of setting up a mega-fight against Anthony Joshua.

'The Bronze Bomber' hasn't fought since knocking out Robert Helenius in under three minutes last October, with Joshua's most recent win also coming against the same opponent in August. Wilder is in a race against the clock to fight 'AJ' having turned 38 two months ago and if all goes to plan tonight, the longtime rivals plan to fight on March 9.

Parker faces a quick turnaround after knocking out Simeon Kean on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou just two months ago. The New Zealander has won three consecutive fights after his brutal KO loss to Joe Joyce last September as he looks to ruin Wilder's chances of fighting Joshua. So here's all you need to know about tonight's fights...

Deontay Wilder : "When you have a blessing and a curse in a right hand, certain things just don’t apply to you. With me, certain things that goes on just don’t bother me. I have the equaliser in the right hand. At any given moment, at any given time the fight can be over even if I have what people call ring rust. I always keep some lime on me so when there’s a bit of rust, I get the lime to take it away and ‘be gone rust’. Over and over again I show people what I’m capable of doing.

"I just only reflect back on it so when people say I’ve been inactive, look at my last fight. In my last fight I was inactive before, it was a year out of the ring and maybe even longer. I came in the first round and I displayed what I can do. It is all about how you train and get yourself prepared for these moments. I’m a very hard worker, I’m dedicated to what I do and I’m passionate about what I say and do. I always bring the best of Deontay to any different event that comes my way. I want to knock him out of the ring.”

Joseph Parker : “You can’t have fear, if you have fear then don’t take the fight. You’re in the wrong sport. You have to go into fights with supreme confidence. Even if things aren’t going well, even if you have had a mixed camp, even if you feel sick or whatever, you still need to be confident you’re going to smash this guy. This is why boxers are a different breed.

"I don’t care what the plans are behind the scenes, if that goes ahead good on them. I’m just focused on my job and that is to take care of Wilder on fight night. I’ve had a great camp and coming into this fight with a great game plan, great strategy and respect to Wilder but I’m here to do a job and I’m here to win. We have a great camp and the people involved but when I get out there I’m going to put on a display.”
