Huge British rock band Bring Me The Horizon has 'decided to part ways' with their percussionist Jordan Fish just weeks before their world tour kicks off.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the band, who are famous for chart-topping hits including Can You Feel My Heart and Throne announced the unexpected news with a brief statement on their official account.

The statement read: "Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon. See you on our UK tour in January."

Jordan, 37, who dedicated over 11 years to the band, later took to his own Instagram account to share his own statement as he reminisced on the incredible opportunities that came with being apart of the award-winning rock band. The talented musician penned: "I'm really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together.

"I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I'm excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production," he added.

Jordan first joined the band in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite, playing the keyboard and appearing on vocals alongside fellow bandmates Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls.

There had been heavy speculation about Fish’s future in Bring Me The Horizon among fans in recent months. He had reportedly not been present on several dates of the band’s recent Asian tour and had not been tagged in some of their recent social media posts.

Following the news, fans flocked to social media to share their reactions as one tweeted: "So sad to hear Jordan is leaving BMTH. It simply won't be the same without him. Honestly." Another echoed: "What a talent. Such a shame Jordan is parting ways."
