Katie Price has been working hard to whip up excitement for her current role in panto - but it seems fans are unimpressed with her acting skills.

The 45-year-old reality star is performing in a production of Sleeping Beauty at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool until December 30 - and she is playing the Evil Queen in the camp Christmas show. The star has been heavily promoting her role via her social media accounts - sharing snaps of herself in her extravagant stage costume and uploading clips of herself in action.

But it seems those that have been buying tickets and going to watch the show have been less than impressed by her vocal skills, comic timing, and basic acting abilities. With the show opening last week, footage soon emerged online showing Katie struggling to keep up with her fellow performers during a dance routine.

And to say some fans have been less than supportive could be an understatement, as the mum-of-five has been under attack from trolls online. One disgruntled fan typed: "Maybe, just maybe Katie Price could learn the routines. She was an absolute disgrace.Clear to see how hard the other cast members have worked .. very clear she thinks she can rock up making zero effort!!!"

Another barked: “lol you hardly had any words, did no rehearsing and bippo acted you off the stage. Good work you can’t sing or act - your family must be so embarrassed.” And a further critic scathingly wrote: “Yku can't sing ,you can't act. Who on earth wants to listen to your dribble.”

Katie has been defended, however, by some of her most devout fans - with one hitting back in her defence: “Maybe the nasties could have a day off, its nearly Christmas ffs.." And another wrote: “You were fab,we loved it. Totally confident and funny as!”

Katie herself has brushed off her critics and continues to heavily promote her gig - sharing more posts on Instagram. In one, she encouraged her fans to come to see her on stage, writing: “Panto season is officially here... Click the link in my bio to get tickets” - with the link resting dangerously close to a separate link to her X Rated OnlyFans page, which could confuse some internet users.

Meanwhile, fans of the Pricey could be seeing even more of her on TV than they have in more than a decade as rumours abound she is being lined up for a return to the I’m A Celebrity jungle. The star first featured on the iconic ITV reality show back in 2004 where the nation became gripped by her then-blossoming romance with future ex-huband Peter Andre.

She then returned to the show in 2009 - but dropped out after a week after the public relentlessly voted for her to undertake all the trials. Now there is speculation she will be hired by ITV to return to the series once again for their ‘All Stars’ spin-off I’m A Celeb: South Africa.

The spin-off show - which sees past contestants return for a second stab at winning the crown - first aired this year with Myleen Klass reigning supreme over her fellow returning contestants. And the show is tipped to return in 2024.

A source told The Sun this week: “Bosses were nervous to cast Katie in the first All Stars as they wanted to play it safe with names who wouldn’t do or say anything too controversial. But while the show did well enough in the ratings to earn a second run, it didn’t have the same impact as the regular show as a lot of viewers didn’t like the pe-recorded format or lack of public vote.

“This time around, they want to make a bigger splash by bringing back some of the bigger, more divisive characters from I’m A Celeb history, and Katie is high on the wish list. Love her or hate her, people can’t stop talking about her and that’s the kind of draw card the South Africa series was lacking last time around.”
