Jennifer Love Hewitt hits back at those saying she looks 'unrecognisable'
Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn't prepared to let online trolls get her down as they comments on her apparent changing appearance.
The actress, 44, posted a polaroid picture on social media and was dubbed "unrecognisable" by some. However, the Ghost Whisperer alum chose not to ignore the comments and clapped back at those critiquing her new look.
The image showed Jennifer's bob haircut she first showed off in August. In the snap, she had swapped her usual blonde locks for a red-coloured shoulder length style that included a prominent fringe. However, she's now said it's "really hard" for people to navigate Hollywood as they grow older and change their appearance.

Speaking to host Michael Rosenbaum on a recent edition of the Inside of You podcast, the I Know What You Did Last Summer star said: "I was getting my hair done and I had not a stitch of makeup on. So, I threw on a filter. I really gave it no thought. The picture ended up somewhere, and a bunch of people were like: ‘Jennifer Love Hewitt is unrecognisable. She’s unrecognisable, so she’s gone to filters because she doesn’t want us to know how bad she actually looks now in her 40s.’”

Jennifer added: "They were like: ‘Well, now she’s just defending herself and why is she defending?."
She is far from the first celebrity to hit back at comments surrounding their looks. It's not always the public who make rash remarks, either. Recently on ITV's This Morning, Sir Cliff Richard came under fire for his comments regarding Elvis Presley.
The musician was talking to the hosts when he revealed he once turned down a photo opportunity with the king of rock n roll because the star had put weight on. He told the hosts he reasoning, explaining: "He'd put on a lot of weight. I thought, 'if I'm taking a photograph with him, and it's going to be hanging on my refrigerator, he's gotta look good."
He continued: "I put it off, and then, of course, he died." However, the anecdote clearly didn't sit well with Alison Hammond, who quipped, "Should never have put it off just because they're a little bit heavier."
