Charlotte Dawson admitted she found it 'tough' having to solo parent baby son Jude after her fiancé Matt Sarsfield spent a few days in hospital due to an operation 'that went wrong.'

In October, the former Ex On The Beach star, 31, shared a heartbreaking update after her five-month-old son Jude was rushed to A&E, and told her social media followers that he'd been diagnosed with RSV bronchitis.

The mum-of-two, who shares sons Noah and Jude with the rugby star, confessed the past few months haven't been easy for the family, with Matt recovering from his surgery while she's been having to juggle responsibilities at home with work.

Charlotte confessed that Matt had spent several days in hospitals just weeks after her tot fell seriously ill. Speaking to Closer Magazine, she said: "There’s been a lot of pressure lately. Matt had an operation that went wrong, he was in absolute agony and ended up in hospital for few days. It was really tough trying to solo parent."

She added: "I was starting panto rehearsals that week and had jobs in London to get to, but I’m lucky we have a good family network around us. There’s never a dull moment in my house!" The reality TV star is currently starring in the panto Beauty and the Beast as the Glamorous Stepmother.

Uploading a heartbreaking social media in October, Charlotte revealed Jude 'screamed at night' and his skin was turning "really grey." After rushing him to A&E, doctors told her that he 'would have died' if he'd come in a day later.

She wrote at the time: "Thank you so much for all your messages on my beautiful baby boy.. Didn't want to put anything on until I knew what it was. He had RSV bronchitis, Thankgod we came in when we did. So heartbreaking seeing him like this. We are in here for a few days he is now hopefully on the mend."

Opening up about the traumsitc ordeal, she added: "The wheezing started, he couldn't breathe, he was deteriorating massively and still wouldn't feed on me.' The nurses said 'Thank God you've come now because his oxygen levels are so low'. They saw me straight away, they were so good with me.

"His coloring was grey. A horrible, horrible colour. His eyes are all puffy and red and then they took us straight up to the ward and did an X-ray on him. Obviously he had to have bloods and everything. It was traumatic.

After spending six days in hospital hooked up to oxygen, her baby was finally allowed to return home. Charlotte branded her five-month-old son a "miracle" and said his hospitalisation put "everything into perspective." The mother-of-two welcomed her second son, Jude, with rugby player fiancé Matt Sarsfield at the end of July.
