Boxing fans divided by Anthony Joshua's attitude during tense interview
Boxing fans are torn over Anthony Joshua 's attitude in a recent interview just days out from his Otto Wallin fight.
Former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua is hoping to make it three wins out of three this year when he faces Wallin on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia to set up an illustrious money-fight with Deontay Wilder next year. 'AJ' was a man of few words when he spoke with TNT Sports after the grand arrivals for the 'Day of Reckoning' event on Tuesday.
The Brit looked like he didn't want to be there and gave one word answers to several of the questions he was asked about his upcoming fight with Wallin. Making little eye contact in the interview that lasted just 90 seconds, some fans were critical of Joshua whilst others leapt to his defence.

"I actually like this Joshua, there to do a job. I hope that he can make a statement on Saturday. This is the Anthony Joshua that is needed, no talk just action that's what it's about. A second user agreed by adding: "Honestly don't mind this, especially the line about Miller and Whyte being a good fight. Marvin Hagler wouldn't talk to any f***er fight week, so he ain't quite that moody."

The large majority of fans criticised his attitude as one user wrote: "To be honest, not a fan of this ‘hard man’ persona outside of the ring. Lighten up for f*** sake and enjoy the moment. Do your fight talking in the ring." A second user added: "Guy is a pantomime, moving like everyone owes him doe in there. Eddie must need the PPV sales. Hopefully he backs up this performance in the ring."
"The worst personality in all of sports, give your head a wobble you big clown," a third user wrote of Joshua. "So weird this guy talks a about respect and then acts like that for the cameras," another comment read as a final user added: "Joshua's mr nice guy mask has now fully fell off."
Joshua is working with Ben Davison, the ex-coach of his longtime rival Tyson Fury, for his fight against Wallin after deciding not to work with Derrick James again for the bout. A date has already been agreed on if 'AJ' and Wilder, who fights Joseph Parker on the card, both win as they will meet on March 9.
