Cameron Diaz breaks silence to slam rumours she quit acting due to Jamie Foxx
Actress Cameron Diaz has broken her silence following speculation that she wanted to quit Hollywood due to her co-star Jamie Foxx.
This week the 51-year-old star laid rumours to rest as she dished about her experience filming the Netflix action-comedy Back in Action alongside Jamie. During a guest appearance on Molly Sims' Lipstick on the Rim podcast, Cameron spoke out about the drama surrounding the filming of her latest movie and some of the "crazy" rumours that were circulating about her relationship with Jamie.
The former The Holiday star spoke about the experience months later, and admitted: "I really hate all of the things that were being said about our set at the time. You just want to scream at the top of your lungs, like, 'What are you talking about?'"

Back in May, an insider claimed that Cameron was ready to quit acting for good as she had a horrible experience with Jamie during her first movie set following her 8-year-long break from the industry.

At the time, the source claimed that Jamie had an "absolute meltdown" on set that led him to fire an executive producer, two directors, and his driver. This allegedly chaotic behaviour reportedly sent Cameron over the edge, according to the source, as part of the reason she originally retired from the business was because she "hates drama and confrontation."
When Cameron caught wind of the negative press surrounding her co-star, she was outraged as she shares a great friendship with Jamie and had a "blast" working with him on set. The former Charlie's Angels star said that she was in disbelief when she heard the rumours that Jamie was "making everything miserable and that I was never gonna make another movie again because of him."

She shared nothing but praise for the actor and said: "Jamie is, like, the cheerleader for the entire crew. Everybody loves him. We have so much fun on the set with him, and he's just a professional on every level," and added: "Jamie is the best. I love that guy so much. He's such a special person and he's so talented, so much fun."
When Cameron discovered the rumours, she spoke to Jamie directly about them how upset she was that people were speaking poorly of him. But Jamie in his professional manner shut down her concerns and assured her that it would be okay because "We know the truth." To which Cameron reflected: "[Jamie is] so classy. He's like, 'Nope. Just let them [talk]," but added: "Still, it just really made me angry."
