Martin Dubravka was charged by a pitch invader after Chelsea' s dramatic equaliser against Newcastle in their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash.

The supporter collided with the stopper moments after Mykhaylo Mudryk had guided home a stoppage time equaliser for the home side. He ran onto the pitch during the celebrations and appeared to taunt Dubravka seconds after Chelsea's stoppage-time goal.

Dubravka came away from the incident without any harm before the fan was ushered away by stewards. The incident however appeared to have an impact on the penalty shooutout. The referee appeared to hold discussions with both managers before the spot-kicks were taken in front of the visiting supporters at Stamford Bridge.

Callum Wilson had previously given Newcastle the lead in the first-half as he profited from Benoit Badiashile's error. It took until stoppage time for Chelsea to respond as Kieran Trippier too made an error, allowing Mudryk to equalise in the 92nd minute of the tie.

Cole Palmer, Callum Wilson and Conor Gallagher were all successful during the resultant shootout, while Trippier's night grew even worse as he missed. Christopher Nkunku scored on his Blues debut, with Bruno Guimaraes also netting.

Mudryk added to his equalising goal with another successful effort. Matt Ritchie was unable to find the net thanks to a stunning save from Djordje Petrovic, allowing Chelsea to secure their place in the last four.
