I found the perfect Christmas party dress to hide my festive bloating

This dress is my new go-to for night's out!

With Christmas and New Years edging nearer, I’ve gone a bit mad this year investing in sparkly pieces to jazz up my usual dull-looking winter wardrobe.

But, there’s one dress in particular that’s become my go-to for night’s out - and I can’t gate keep it any longer! As soon as I saw it on ASOS last week, I knew I had to grab it for my recent Christmas party - and I’ve never received so many compliments.

Although it’s now completely sold out on ASOS, it’s still available in some sizes on NA-KD in two colours; green and black. The structured Glitter Mini Dress costs £44.95, and not only is it perfect for the festive season, but it’s super comfortable too thanks to its stretchy material.

The mini dress features a flowy fit which is great for hiding any lumps and bumps - just what you need after a heavy Christmas dinner, and even cinches you in at the waist thanks to the cuffed design.

As well as flattering my figure, it also kept me nice and warm too thanks to the long-sleeves and high boat neckline which is ideal for making bigger boobs appear smaller, too.

Being a UK size 6, and 5ft 2” in height, I went for the XX-Small size, and it fit perfectly whilst still offering me space to move and bloat, even after having consumed numerous slices of pizza.

The mini dress is still available on NA-KD in sizes XX-Small, X-Small, Small, Medium and Large in both the green and black sparkly colour ways - however I’m expecting it to sell out on here too, so be quick to grab it!

I paired the dress with some leather knee-high boots and a black leather bag, but it would equally look great with a pair of statement heels for the ultimate night out/date night look.

Now, I have quite sensitive skin, so one thing I found was that the dress is quite itchy, especially on the shoulder area where it’s slightly ruched. On top of this, there's not many sizes left, so I've also spotted some great alternatives which provide a similar 'slimming' effect.

For half the price, another option I'm loving is this Black Sequin Belted Mini Dress, priced at £25 down from £35.99 from New Look. It's embellished with sequins and features a flattering belted waist which is also great for hiding any unwanted bloat throughout the party season.
