The best-selling boots, available in four neutral shades including black and tan, which is around £115 cheaper than UGG’s Ultra Minis. If you’ve been struggling to get your hands on a pair of the coveted shoes, or they’re simply out of your price range this Christmas, could prove to be a worthy alternative.

Available in sizes 2-9, the cosy features a faux fur lining to keep feet warm in the colder weather, with a platform sole for added height and style, alongside a comfortable slip on design which makes them perfect for all day wear.

TikTok user shared a clip of the shoes on the video sharing app, commenting: “Girls run! You need these platform ugg dupes in river island, super cosy and an essential for autumn.” While another shared a video with the caption: “How UNREAL are these @River Island platform ugg dupes, definitely a winter essential!”

However, they’re not the only pair of UGG alternatives taking over the high street, as have also been a hit with shoppers, although there are very limited sizes available. Their version cost £25.99, with shoppers saying they’re a ‘great alternative to splashing out on real Uggs’.

If you already have a pair of UGGs, or similar suede or faux suede shoes, one way to get them to last a lot longer is to use a protective spray. A which you can use multiple times on numerous pairs of shoes, so it’s really only a couple of quid extra on top of the shoes to keep them protected.

The way the works is by creating a thin, hydrophobic coating on the shoe, which is completely invisible. You have to spray them from about 20cm away and give them two coats, letting them dry in between, and then they’ll be water and oil repellent to help protect them from watermarks, grime and stains.

It’s safe to say that the River Island shoes are sending fashion lovers into a frenzy, and it you want to get your own hands on, we suggest you move fast. With the rate at which they’re selling, we don’t think they’ll be around for long.
