Sam Thompson leaves I'm A Celeb fans in tears with first act since jungle exit
Fans of I'm A Celebrity were left in tears on Wednesday after witnessing King of the Jungle Sam Thompson's first act since winning the ITV series.
The Made In Chelsea star met best pal Pete Wicks on the bridge after being crowned on Sunday, whilst his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott remained at home following her own exploits on Strictly Come Dancing. Presented by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Wednesday's reunion special, meanwhile, looked back on what each celebrity did first after exiting camp.
It was Sam's FaceTime call to Zara that caused the biggest stir, with the pair's virtual reunion proving too much for some viewers to take. Addressing his beau, he rejoiced: "Yes Poodle! Oh Baby Goose!"

With Pete looking on, the pair 'nose bopped' before Zara revealed she had thrown 50-person party in her boyfriend's honour, before they said their goodbyes.
Turning to Pete, Sam added: "She's the most amazing girlfriend in the world." Viewers soon took to X (formerly Twitter) to hail the cute pair's actions, with one writing: "Why am I crying my eyes out at Sam & Zara nose bobbing on FaceTime!" Another commented: "Crying my eyes out over Sam and Zara’s call."

A third added: "Awh Sam you’re so cute!!!!" And a fourth said: "Zara and Sam are such a cute couple! They really care about one another." The pair finally reunited yesterday after almost a month apart in sweet scenes at Heathrow Airport shared by Sam on Instagram.
In a series of snaps which saw Pete by their side, the pair embraced after 27-year old Zara presented Sam with balloons. "She brought balloons," laughed Sam in his post. "Reunited with the love of my life. What a trip, what a lucky guy I am."
Later in the day Sam took to his story on the platform to post a video of the couple cuddling up in bed on the eve of Zara's 27th birthday. "A birthday goose!" hailed Sam in the captions. "It's all happening this week!" Laying next to each other topless Sam belted out "Happy birthday to you" as Zara broadly smiled at the camera in a pair of grey pyjamas.
Voting figures released by ITV yesterday, revealed reality star won I'm A Celebrity by a landslide, amassing 43.35% of the overall votes from the public, with Tony trailing behind with 30.87% and third-place winner Farage managing 25.78%. Following Farage's exit, the break down of votes for the final two Sam earning of 56.64% to Tony's 43.36%.
