ITV I'm A Celebrity's Nella Rose asks if she got 'cancelled' as she left camp

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Nella Rose asked if she got 'cancelled' after being evicted from the jungle.

The beloved YouTube star, 26, was the second contestant to get voted out of this year's series - which saw Sam Thompson being crowned the King of the Jungle. During her time on the show, viewers shared their strong opinions about her after she got into a row with Fred Sirieix.

While cooking food, the duo started talking about their ages and he mentioned how their age gap meant he could be her dad. She said she felt 'disrespected' by the comment and confronted him about it. Both Nella's parents passed away, her dad being the most recent in 2020.

The row resulted in many viewers rushing to social media to comment on the row – with many saying the reaction 'came from grief'. Many posted about wanting her out of the show even though Fred and Nella clearly worked out their differences and got along perfectly well. On Wednesday night's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Coming Out, viewers got a glimpse of the moment Nella walked across the bridge.

Guided by a producer, Nella nervously asked: "Have I been cancelled? Have people been slandering me?" A producer assured her she wasn't cancelled. She then hugged hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and admitted: "That was so nerve-wracking. I'm so scared, I feel like I looked horrible."

The duo said she didn't look horrible. Ant said: "We loved you in there... If you walked out early on, we would have just seen conflict and nothing else. We wouldn't have got to see the full you, you know? I'm really pleased you stayed." On the car ride back to the hotel, she admitted she felt 'nervous' about how she came across.

"I'm kind of nervous of my perception to the public. I feel like I was 100% myself. It is what it is, I signed up for it and did it. Came out, now we deal with the consequences." Nella went on to discuss her overall experience in the jungle and said: "The trials are scarier in real life than they are on TV, I'll tell you that for free."

Nella faced a huge backlash from viewers who felt that she had overreacted during both arguments. But in support of the star was a family member who told the Mail: "All of Nella’s siblings and other members of her family, wherever they are in the world, are watching her in the jungle – and praying that she wins."

They added: "We are very proud of her achievements, it’s amazing what she’s done. She is showing the fighting spirit of the Congolese people and we are all with her." Nella and her brother Albert were forced to leave their North London flat just 30 days after their mum, Eseho Omolongo, passed away suddenly in 2016. The siblings have also had to cope with the loss of their dad, Kamango Paul Hollela, four years later.
