Superdrug shoppers are comparing £7 perfume to 'identical' £100 designer scent

Savvy Superdrug shoppers will know that every week they drop Star Buys, displaying a selection of beauty products with mega savings added to them. This week, eagle-eyed beauty buffs have spied that the Bespoke Woman Spiced Pear & Warm Amber Eau de Parfum 100ml is even cheaper than its usual £9.99 price, now available for £6.66.

The fruity fragrance is said to smell like Jean Paul Gaultier's La Belle, which costs £111 for 100ml, with fans of the scent saying: "This is a fantastic dupe of Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle EDP. It smells almost identical! I think that if anyone were to smell this, knowing of the scent this is a dupe of, they would absolutely think this is the real thing. This is an exceptionally affordable everyday wearable scent."

Both perfumes share similar notes of citrus fruits, pear, vanilla and amber, and its a lovely choice for the winter months, with a warm and musky scent. It's better suited for those who prefer heavier fragrances, but if a lighter smell is what you are after, Bespoke Woman Mandarin Praline and White Flowers has also been reduced to £6.66.

One customer wrote in the reviews section: "I have many expensive perfumes which nobody comments on! I purchased a bottle of this to take on holiday and everyone was asking what it was and where I got it!"

Another praised the perfume for how long-lasting it was, commenting: "This is by far the best perfume on a low price range I have ever purchased, I can't get enough of it! The smell actually lingers on your clothes and skin for hours which is amazing considering the price."

A third user said: "This is a spicy, sultry scent. I think I would wear this to go out rather than day to day use," so we would recommend it is best spritzed in the evening.

If you love the smell of pear and are looking for a daytime fragrance, this Vera Wang Body Mist is £12 from Amazon and is scented with green tea and pear blossom.
