Anna 'Chickadee' Thompson's battle with cancer set to be televised in TV series
The upcoming season of Mama June's reality TV show is set to document her late daughter's battle with cancer.
Over the weekend, Honey Boo Boo's mother Mama June announced Anna 's death at the age of 29 after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. The 44-year-old reality star took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news with fans as she said her family has been left heartbroken.
Anna had been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer back in January, but sadly died on Saturday night at home. Sources have recently revealed that Anna was "very open about her health issues" and wanted her battle to be included in Mama June's show From Hot to Not, "so people could better understand the struggles she went through, and those of cancer patients, in general."

Anna is survived by her two kids and her partner (Instagram)They told TMZ: "She also wanted fans to know everything she faced, since she was always candid with them. Anna had no problems with the production team filming her journey, and the crew was by her side just hours before she passed away.

"Anna was in hospice for a little over 3 weeks toward the end, and she was open to documenting everything," the insider continued. "Production felt it was best to not be there when she passed, and they won't be there to record the funeral, either ... despite Anna being alright with it, the crew wanted to give the family some privacy while they mourn."
Reports also claimed that everyone in family will get a portion of Anna's ashes. They said: "After Anna's memorial services this week, her family will be cremating her, and they plan to split her remains amongst family members."

The source shared some funeral plans with the outlet, revealing that Anna requested an open-casket funeral and wanted her fans to be invited.
