Actress and comedian Kate Micucci, best known for her role in the hit TV show The Big Bang Theory, has been diagnosed with lung cancer aged just 43.

The star shared the terrifying news on TikTok with a video of her in a hospital bed. She started off the video saying: "This is not a TikTok, it’s a SickTok."

"I had lung cancer surgery yesterday,” Kate continued, “It’s really weird because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life so uh, you know, it was a surprise. But I guess it happens and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out — I’m all good.”
