Olly Murs shares touching moment he first found out he is going to be a dad
Olly Murs has shared the emotional moment that he found out he was going to be a dad for the first time, just a few days after he announced that his wife Amelia was expecting their first child.
The singer, who is also a coach on ITV talent show The Voice, posted the video on Instagram for his 4.6 million followers to enjoy and it shows him holding out his hands as he closes his eyes in front on former bodybuilder Amelia. She then places her positive pregnancy in his hand and the 39-year-old singer is visibly shocked when he opens his eyes.
Standing with his mouth wide open, Olly stared down at the test and was speechless before the video then switched to other moments in which they revealed the pregnancy to various family members and friends. Olly referenced one of his chart-topping songs in the caption to the post, with him writing: "It wasn’t just our hearts that skipped a beat.."

One commented: "Awww watching this with tears in my eyes. I’m so happy for you both . Sending you lots of love." Another added: "So so happy for you x". A third wrote on the post: "Congratulations well done to both of you."
Olly had announced the news of the pregnancy on social media on December 6 when he posted a photo on Instagram of him and Amelia, who is sporting a baby bump, along with the caption: "Baby Murs due 2024". Olly was full of winter feels as he sported a snowflake covered jumper while he held a scan photo and pointed at his wife's bump, with them both looking a picture of happiness.

They got engaged in June 2022 with the wedding bells ringing in July 2023 as they tied the knot on Osea Island in Essex. Olly and Amelia hired the £35,000 a night island for three days for their wedding, in which they had a music festival and fairground rides.
Speaking to OK! Magazine in September, Olly said: "Married life has been lovely, I haven't been around much, really, because I've been touring, so it's nice to be home. I'm not sure I'm going to go for six kids, but of course, I'd love to have children." It wasn't the first time the singer has spoken about taking things to the next level.
"We're ready to have our own little Murs running around. It's so special that we'll be able to take our kids to Osea Island one day and say: 'This is where we got married'."
