Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed has waded into a bitter family feud that is simmering away between his former mother-in-law Jackiey Budden and the father of Jade's children, Jeff Brazier.

Ahead of 20-year-old actor Bobby Brazier's semi-final performances on Strictly Come Dancing, Jack has pleaded for the family to "come together" after Jackiey's foul-mouthed riposte in answer to a question about how she gets on with Jeff. The long-running spat is said to have become so sever that Bobby has asked for his maternal grandmother to not attend the Strictly live shows so that there are no scenes or confrontations with his dad Jeff.

Weighing in on the drama, Jack, 36, has told MailOnline that Jade would have been hurt by the family disagreements and warned that the different parties to "come together".

The bad blood between Jackiey and Jeff was reignited after Bobby won at the National Television Awards for his portrayal of Freddie Slater on BBC soap EastEnders. Jackiey was heard calling Jeff a "c***" when asked about how she felt about Jeff being seen weeping on camera when his boy picked up the prestigious award. Jackiey also said she had not been personally invited by the family as a guest and had to buy a ticket herself to see if Bobby would win.

The grandmother has since admitted that her sweary outburst was off-the-cuff and hadn't expected it to have been shared across social media and make the news.

Speaking outside her South London flat, Jackiey said: "'When I came out for the NTA Awards, I'm loud and it's the drink and someone went 'oh I bet you're really proud' and 'how do you get on with Jeff Brazier' and I said 'he's a c***'. Next minute I'm on the internet and all over the papers. As I came out of the O2, someone overheard me say it, so they sold the story."

Jackiey doubled-down on her words and admitted that she didn't have an issue with calling Jeff that as he had been one for "f****** nine years" and said that Bobby "doesn't need that stress on his head. He's my grandson.'

This weekend it was revealed that following Jackiey's public bashing of Jeff, she has not been offered any of the free seats Bobby was given by the BBC team for friends and family to watch Strictly live on a Saturday night. She was even snubbed when Bobby performed a special routine dedicated to Jade.

Responding to the latest twist in the long-running row, Bobby's 'stepdad' Jack told MailOnline: "Jade would not want [this]. She would just want peace for everybody. That is what is important." Jack himself said that he gets on well with Jeff and that it's "all very civil" between them and that he is still in touch with Bobby and his brother Freddie, 19, and is impressed with Bobby's performances on Strictly with his professional dance partner, Dianne Buswell.

Jack said that Bobby has "that unique and cheeky personality that Jade had. He's smashing it and I am very proud of him." He went on to add Jade would have been "over the moon" with her son and "immensely proud" and Jack believes that Jade had an influence on his rhythm as she was "always dancing" and that Bobby "picked up some of it from that."

Jack has issued a warning to Bobby about having the spotlight on his life and said that show business is a "rough game" and that Jade was bothered by "snakes" who tried to get close to her after she became a big star following Big Brother in 2002. He said to Bobby that it is "very hard to trust people" in showbusiness and that he should "be careful" as "that world is full of snakes."
