As I walked into the shop, I found the corduroy dresses right by the entrance next to the shopfront mannequins. A card writing "The Cord Edit" is clipped on top of the rail and a few customers were already picking their favourite velvet dresses.

While I was skimming through the dresses, I found a mini Starlight Dress in midnight blue, £75. I have a Starlight maxi dress in cotton and I love wearing it, it's my go-to summer dress so when I saw the velvet version of it, I had to try it on.

Nobody's Child currently have a sale with up to 50% off including some winter pieces like cardigans and sweaters.

I was obsessed with the soft gathering, puff sleeves on the Starlight dress and the panelled pattern around the waist for slimming effect. However, unlike the maxi version, the dress does not come with any pockets.

Pair it with a polka dot leggings and Mary Jane pumps, as well as some accessories — that'd make a cute outfit for dinner dates.

Next, the pinafore dress that I picked was probably shoppers' favourite because almost every woman who walked into the shop had this tried on.

The Claudette Pinny Mini Dress, £65, has two patch pockets and buttons up at the front, which I think it is more for everyday wear.

Wear it with a thermal top under or a thin roll neck top and go with ankle boots. For extra chicness, you can pair it with moccasins and socks.

The last dress that caught my attention was giving cute elf vibes and it's the Red Velvet Jolene Mini Dress, £69. The mini dress has fluted sleeves and a statement bow at the back.
