Rows over parking spaces can get heated very quickly and can cause people to do things they wouldn't normally consider.

When one motorist was truly fed up with another person parking in their space, they decided to take things a step further and did something to their car - but they ensured it wasn't something they'd come to later regret.

Rather than choosing to let their tyres down in anger, or key the side of it so they needed to get their paintwork redone, they decided to wrap the car up in clingfilm and write them a warning note to prevent them from making the same mistake again.

The driver, from Wahroonga on Sydney's upper north shore, has clingfilmed the car up, and a passer-by spotted it, took photos, and posted them on social media. The car also had many messages written all over the vehicle, but someone pointed out they were lucky that the angered person hadn't written it straight onto the bodywork. One of the harsh messages read: "'Not a public park. Read, you moron. Private property."

Another said that the space was "reserved" and needed to be free for use "24/7", adding that the Fiat owner was "entitled" because they'd parked in their space, reports 7NEWS Adelaide. The newscaster also referred to the "act of revenge" as "novel."

On social media, the reaction was mixed, with some referring to the act as "gold", and others asking: "Why the hell would you do that to someone's car? 'Would a note not have achieved the same result? Seems like an overreaction." Someone else simply said that they would've "had them towed." "Hats off to whoever did this", an amused driver shared.

"Fair enough", a social media user mused. "We have it happen to us all the time and I'm at the point of doing this considering I can't park on the street so I need my parking spot at my own place."
