Hugh Jackman's cheery smile replaced by 'rather sad frown' after divorce
Hugh Jackman replaced his "optimism" with a "rather sad look" in his latest Instagram post following his split from Deborra-Lee Furness.
The 55-year-old actor took to the social media platform to share some selfies, but some fans were left worried as he looked upset in the snaps. Hugh wore a reflective pair of aviator sunglasses and a light blue jumper in the pictures.
He captioned the post: "Entirely too close. #moods." Hugh wasn't smiling in the photos and instead seemed to frown in the second snap. Body language expert Judi James said he seemed to be trying to be happy, but he ultimately failed.

He's usually known for his smiling selfies (thehughjackman/Instagram)Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she explained: "Hugh does look rather sad here and what looks like an attempt at a more good-humoured facial expression seems to wither on the vine as his features pucker into a frown and his mouth goes from a faint curling up of the lips to being set in a more severe straight line.

"Hugh is the one Hollywood celebrity who always looks amenable and optimistic so any straightening of his facial expression is going to look dramatic. His brows become drawn together here, causing strong crease lines at the bridge of his nose here and the lines deepen at either side of his mouth as his faint smile drops."
She also said his sunglasses didn't help to mask his sad expression. "His eyes are hidden by the reflective shades but it’s hard to imagine from the shaping and muscle movements of the rest of his face that his eye expression might be more cheery behind them," Judi added.

They first met in 1995 while starring together on an Australian television show. Hugh said he knew within weeks of meeting that they were "going to be together for the rest of our lives".
After his divorce, Hugh has been seen spending time with his celebrity friends such as Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. Ryan and Hugh are starring in the newest Deadpool movie together that is currently in the process of being filmed.
