With party season on the horizon, we're all stocking up on sparkles to really deck the halls with fabulous fashion in celebration of Christmas. And one particular party piece that's been on my wish list for weeks is H&M's viral Sequined tie-back dress. It's the sparkly number that has been doing the rounds on social media - and for Gossip Girl fans, it's been described as "giving Blair Waldorf" vibes on TikTok.
Covered in shimmering white sequins with a high neckline, the A-line design has a deep V at the back tied together with a wide grosgrain black ribbon. This glamorous dress is so high in demand that people are selling it on second-hand sites like eBay and Vinted for over £100 - £212 is the highest I've seen so far, which is almost four times what it's worth in H&M.
Thankfully, with December being a time for all things glitzy, H&M isn't the only store to have stunning sequin dresses so I've had a nose around to see if I can find some of the best alternatives to the sell-out style. Although, if your heart is set on that viral number, switch on notifications to be prompted when it's back in stock.
Here are five alternatives to H&M's much-loved sequin dress. Whether you're heading out for the office party or a family gathering, you're sure to look incredible in one of these show-stopping pieces - and they're all under £100. For even more style points, finish off your party look with a red lippy - like this Charlotte Tilbury The Queen matte stick.
This River Island dress comes in a gorgeous bright silver hue and features a dramatic low back and high neckline. The long flared sleeves give this party piece a 70s vibe and with and sequined finish, it's a great way to impress anyone in your path. If you want something a little longer with less dramatic sleeves, this sequin number is £10 cheaper at £55.

White sequins? Check. High neck? Check. Mini length? Check. But instead of a bow, this elegant dress has a tie waist. It isn't limited to brides either. With an A-line fit that can be cinched in at the waist, bell sheer sleeves and a contrast velvet belt, it pairs well with metallic heels and statement earrings. A party-ready piece that requires minimum effort.

If you're more of a V-neck kinda girl, this crystal embellished draped front from Karen Millen is on sale from £199 to £80 and ranges from sizes six to 16 - although there are limited sizes available, so be quick! The gorgeous dress features relatively-sheer sleeves and a silver striped pattern across the front to create a flattering silhouette. With a mini length, it would be elevated with a pair of silver heels.

Okay, I know I said 'cheaper' but £92 is cheaper than £200 and this dress from Rochelle Humes' collection with Next is practically identical to H&M's. From its mini length and open back to the bow detail, the high-street number is delicate but packs a whole lot of drama - and it's perfect for party season.
