Just when it seemed celebrities were safe from flying objects, Florence Pugh has become the latest A-lister to fall victim to this violent trend.

This summer, musicians like Bebe Rexha and Harry Styles were pelted with objects while performing on stage. Bebe had a phone thrown at her and had to get stitches near her eyebrow. A video circulated online of Harry being hit in the eye but what appeared to be a Skittle candy.

On Sunday, Florence was onstage at CCXP 2023 in Brazil with her fellow castmates of Dune: Part 2. Videos online show the cast including Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya standing in a line with their arms around each other as they pose for a photo.

An unknown object came flying from the audience and hit Florence in the face near her eye. She visibly flinches and appears to say "ow" before reaching down and picking up whatever hit her.

Timothee and Austin Butler, who was standing next to her, immediately noticed and seemed concerned for their fellow actress. Zendaya was talking to the writer and director of the film, Denis Villeneuve, and the two appeared to miss the moment but realized what happened in the aftermath.

There is no word on whether Florence is badly hurt, but from the video, it seemed that hopefully she was more stunned than injured. Fans were gobsmacked online that this trend was continuing, and that it was even happening at all.

"It hit her directly in the eye.. this could’ve been so much worse," one fan wrote on Twitter, "If this keeps going it’ll get to the point where people won’t want to do live events anymore for their own safety." Another chimed in: "Pathetic behaviour. This is totally awful."

Other celebrities who were hit while on stage include Kelsea Ballerini, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande. Amid the height of the trend during the summer, Adele warned fans at her Las Vegas residency if they dared do the same to her.

"F*****g dare you. Dare you to throw something at me," she said, "Have you noticed how people are, like, forgetting f*****g show etiquette in America? They’re just throwing s**t onstage."
