George Clooney lovingly holds wife Amal and protects her at new movie premiere
Women for years have been dreaming that George Clooney is the perfect husband - and his chivalrous actions prove he just might be.
The Ocean's Eleven actor took the red carpet in the rain on Sunday for his new film The Boys In The Boat. George is directing the period drama about the American rowing team that won gold in the 1936 Olympics, and is based on the 2013 novel of the same name.
While the London rain soaked the carpet, George made sure his wife Amal's stunning hair and outfit were shielded from the bad weather. George held a clear-coloured umbrella with a black trip above him and Amal. In the background of photos of the couple, similar umbrellas were visible.

The couple attended George's film screening (Dave Benett/WireImage)George wore a grey suit that showed specs of rain droplets on his arm - an indicator that he was more worried about keeping his wife dry. Under his suit jacket, he wore a white-collared shirt with two of the top buttons undone.

His other half, Amal, wore an all-black ensemble with a strapless velvet bodice on top that showed slivers of her midriff, and a fitted skirt that stopped at her ankles covering her bottom half. She wore stylish black stiletto heels and her brunette hair was down and cascaded down one shoulder.
Also at the screening were its stars Callum Turner, Joel Edgerton, and Bruce Herbelin-Earle. This isn't George's first time directing a major motion picture.
His directorial debut was 2002's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Since then, he also directed critically acclaimed films such as The Ides of March, The Monuments Men, and The Midnight Sky.
The two have been married since 2014 (Getty Images for Warner Brothers)George and Amal got engaged in April 2014 and married in Italy in September of that year. Amal is a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer and the two first bonded over their interest in campaigning for charities.
The couple share two children together, six-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, who are both fluent in Italian despite neither of their parents possessing that skill. George also recently told Access Hollywood that his kids love one specific kind of music genre.
"The kids are listening to heavy metal. They’re headbangers," he said, "It’s not fully heavy metal, it’s just heavy enough that they can bang their heads."
