Helen Flanagan has dropped a major hint she is dating again – but her children don’t approve.

The former Coronation Street actress, who shot to fame playing Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, posted a funny video on TikTok as she sat on the sofa with children, Matilda, seven, and two-year-old Charlie.

Taking part in a TikTok trend which saw them mouth along to a clip from Real Housewives Of Orange County, Matilda tells her actress and model mum: “I said that I don’t think that he’s good for you.” Helen replied: “How do you know what’s good for me?” Matilda then shouted in her face: “That’s my opinion!”

It comes after Helen, who split from footballer ex Scott Sinclair last year, revealed she had endured a string of dating disasters recently. The former couple, who also share four-year-old Matilda, were together for 13 years and engaged for four. They split in 2022 after admitting “growing apart”.

Helen, who underwent a boob job earlier this year, is back on the dating scene after spending most of her 20s "being pregnant or breastfeeding". Introducing the ‘Men of 2023’, Helen shared she had saved the dates in her phone under nicknames including: "Too obsessed with their dog, ruined my mental health. My ghoster. Dead chat. Complicated X. Dead chat 2.”

She even teased she had a man saved in her phone as “My One Night Stand." She also told fans: "After 13 years of being wifed off, I've spent this year trying to find myself and start dating again. Let's just say it's been an experience..." She added: "In conclusion, we're hoping for a better 2024."

Although they have been separated for over a year, Helen recently opened up about her “love” for ex-Scott – but admitted they don’t get on at the moment. She told the Sun: "I love Scott and I know that he loves me, but I suppose we just don’t like each other very much at the moment. We don’t really speak and there’s no point in pretending that we’re the best of friends when we’re not.”

She continued: “What we had was really special, and because of that, the emotion between us is just too raw. Luckily, I get on really well with his mum and he speaks to my parents, so I’m sure Scott and I will eventually have a better relationship."

Discussing what led to their break-up, Helen said it would be impossible to pinpoint anything specific, but admitted she "struggled" with her mental health following the birth of her youngest child Charlie in 2021, which put a "strain" on the relationship at times.

Helen explained: "Scott is a good guy, but I felt he wasn’t very good with emotions. We got used to doing our own thing. I had my own work and friends, and so did he. We just weren’t really together that much. Maybe I wasn’t the easiest person to live with – neither was he! – but there were a lot of factors that led to the end of the relationship. It wasn’t just one thing."
