With Christmas just around the corner, many of us will be keen to kick back with a festive film to get us well and truly in the spirit. With Apple TV+, there’s a host of top animations and merry musicals to help you wind down for the cold winter.

Apple TV+’s Christmas offering is somewhat limited, but it does have a fair few crackers and also boasts plenty to keep the kids occupied over the school holidays. Aside from Christmas content, Apple is now home to some blockbuster shows, including the new Godzilla spin-off Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, alternate history sci-fi For All Mankind and the brand-new third season of Slow Horses.

All of these great titles can be streamed with a subscription to Apple TV+, which usually costs £8.99 a month. But Apple TV+ also offers a seven-day free trial, meaning subscribers can watch a week’s worth of top content without paying a penny.

Sky customers can also get Apple TV+ for free alongside a last-minute Black Friday deal that also includes Netflix for less than £20. This amazing entertainment bundle includes Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix for £19 a month, with customers also able to claim six months of Apple TV+ at no extra cost.

This money-saving deal means customers save £126 over Sky’s 18-month term, plus £53.94 with Apple – a total £179.94 saving. But shoppers must be quick to snap up this deal as it expires at 11:59pm on November 30.

Shoppers can also bag a free Apple TV+ subscription with Currys. To claim the deal, customers simply need to purchase an eligible item from a range of product categories that includes TVs, laptops and games consoles, after which they will receive an email with details on how to redeem three free months of Apple TV+.

Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds star in Apple TV+’s modern retelling of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol that’s told from the perspective of the ghosts. Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits.

But this time, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself re-examining his own past, present and future. Alongside this comedy-musical, Apple TV+ has dropped a ‘Making of’ featurette, while a sing-along edition debuts on December 1.

‘Twas the Fight Before Christmas

This quirky documentary follows the story of an Idaho neighbourhood turned upside down by one man’s obsession with bringing Christmas cheer to all, through the biggest community Christmas event the USA has ever seen. Christmas-loving lawyer Jeremy Morris’ plan hits a snag when the homeowners' association informs him that the event violates the rules of the neighbourhood.

A contentious fight over the festivities erupts and things snowball out of control. As the situation escalates, the film asks the question, who wins when different rights and interests collide?
